Riesling Plus One
With one exception, the wines were generally very popular; we just have bottles left for most.

The 2019 Peter Lauer Ayler Riesling Senior was the most liked. Although unoaked, it had breadth and richness that several people found appealing. It sold out.
2019 Breuer Rauenthal Riesling, and in a lighter, more precise vein, the 2020 Wittmann Westhofener Riesling were the next most often mentioned. Both took a while to open. The Breuer from the Rheingau had more breadth and richness and was most obviously appealing; the Wittman was more delicate, perhaps more restrained, and lighter wine of more finesse. We have a bit over a case of that, bottles of the Breuer. Tasted the next day, both wines showed more ample and richly layered than at our tasting.
2018 Dr. Loosen Wehlener Sonnenuhr GG Alte Reben; was very youthful and unrealized compared to the others. Built like an old-style white, it showed apparent oak and had a lot of depth and richness but was less giving at the tasting. It is a wine for the cellar for another 5 to 15 years.
2020 von Schubert Maximin Riesling was more straightforward than the others, just slightly off-dry. People thought it was very good, especially for a very reasonable price. We do have more
People, by and large, didn't warm to 2020 Heidi Schrock Gelber Muskateller; They found it a little funky and exotically spicy for their palates.
