We are pleased to offer the upcoming release of the Tenuta delle Terre Nere Contrada wines. Owner Marco de Grazia classifies these single-vineyard sites on Mount Etna in Sicily as the area’s Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines. Over the past twenty years, they have become some of the most sought-after and highly allocated wines in the world. We have been offering them to you since the first vintage release.
Bianco
Marco de Grazia’s whites are made from native Carricante grape, grown in superior vineyard sites on Mount Etna where the variety reaches its pinnacle of quality. The grapes benefit from significant day–night temperature swings and a long growing season.
These wines age very well because of their naturally high acidity. When young, you will find aromas and flavors of green apple, citrus, and salinity. As the wines age, their natural minerality becomes more pronounced, along with notes of petrol and flavors of ripe peach. Every time you open a bottle, the wine will reveal something new—a subtle, balanced nuance.

The reds are made mostly from ancient-vine Nerello Mascalese and have consistently been described as a stylistic cross between Burgundy and Barolo.
