Mas de Daumas Gassac Wine Dinner
Eastern Standard Kitchen
775 Beacon St. Boston, MA
Wednesday March 12, 6PM
Our friends at Eastern Standard asked us to let you know about what promises to be an unforgettable evening of food and rare wine with Virgile Rousseau of Mas de Daumas Gassac, a family-owned, world-renowned estate, dubbed by the French press as “the Lafite of the Languedoc." Come to our tasting, then go to the dinner.
Set in a sun-filled valley fed by the Gassac river, the organic farm nestled in the South of France is surrounded by 4,000 hectares of untouched French forest, making wines that are inspired by Bordeaux, are wild, elegant and highly prized by collectors around the world.
The Guibert family has owned and farmed this magical property for more than 50 years. Virgile, our host, grew up on the estate, working every harvest since well before he should have been allowed.
This will be a dinner full of memorable stories and wines that are sure to become your Finds of the Year, accompanied by a menu crafted with the South of France firmly in mind. You’ll be planning your next vacation before dessert!
