Champagne is the most exciting region in France these days. A warming climate has enabled growers and major houses alike to make new, more nuanced interpretations that reflect much or more of what the grower can do in the vineyard rather than fix in the cellar. We find it fascinating to taste what skilled craftsmen can create.
Every year, champagnes get better. Out of some 300 sparkling wines tasted this fall, we've selected the most exciting and the best values. As a group, they are the best so far.
As with all artisanal products, some are made in small quantities, giving us only a case or two. Most wines below are in our December 2nd tasting. Some may sell out then. we will allocate any left after the tasting.
All wines are either in stock or will arrive within a week.
These are sale prices, with additional discounts for mixing any six or more bottles and best for six or more of one bottling. Prices are good through December, subject to prior sale.
One more consideration: The incoming administration's team will decide on a tariff. They are wealthy enough not to care whether it will be ten, twenty percent, or more. You might.
