It was love at first sip when fifteen years ago I first tasted Marisa Cuomo's Furore Rosso. It was so wonderfully decadent but so well crafted that the wine did not seem too big.
I Ihen worked for the only store on the East Coast that offered the wine. People from as far as New York & New Jersey would travel here to buy, and it would quickly sell out. I am excited that we at Federal have now secured two Cuomo wines. But don't wait. These wines may still disappear soon.
Marisa Cuomo's winery is located on the beautiful Amalfi Coast between Positano and Amalfi at about 500 meters above sea level. Her vineyards benefit from the south-facing position, the microclimate, and the dolomitic limestone that combine with the effects of the Mediterranean Sea to produce ethereal fruit. Her tireless pursuit of perfection and awareness of quality makes Cantine Marisa Cuomo one of the leading wineries in Italy. 2023 Marisa Cuomo Costa D’Amalfi Furore Bianco
.Furore Bianco is a blend of 60% Falanghina and 40% local Biancolella. Grown on terraced vineyards, it is an excellent pairing choice for seafood, fish, and light Mediterranean dishes.
Aroma: Green apple, Amalfi lemons, grapefruit, fresh basil, and mint give the wine a lifted vibrancy that immediately transports you to the Amalfi coast. Mouth: Mineral-driven, crisp, delicate citrus, honey crisp apple, hints of almonds and cantaloupe on the clean, persistent finish, balanced acidity, and medium body.
